Ankara Castle

Augustus Temple
 
The monument located next to Hacı Bayram Mosque in Ulus was built in the name of the Phrygian goddess Men. The temple, whose ruins are found today, was built by King Pylaimenes, the son of Galatian ruler Amintos, as a sign of loyalty to Roman Emperor Augustus. Various additions were made during the Byzantine period, and it was converted into a church surrounded by four columns by opening windows.
 
Independence War Museum
 
The two-story andesite stone building built in 1920 served as the Turkish Grand National Assembly until 1924. In the following years, it was used as the Republican People's Party, and in 1957, it was decided to be a museum and started operating as the Grand National Assembly Museum in 1961.
 
It has been used as the Independence War Museum since 1981. The National Struggle Museum includes objects used during this period, rooms where Atatürk's principles and revolutions are explained, documents belonging to certain periods, and the parliamentary session hall.
